Donata Wenders: Ode to the craft
Film presentation

Visual artist and camerawoman Donata Wenders created a series of film miniatures that portray Saxon craftswomen entitled »Ode to Craft«. The focus is generally not on the individual, rather on her craftswomanship. A weaver is joined by a shoemaker, a potter, a blacksmith, a papermaker, and the Ore Mountain manufacturer of the Chemnitz cult instrument, the bandoneon. For the Purple Path, portraits were created of glove maker Nils Bergauer and nutcracker artisan, Markus Füchtner in Seiffen.
