Raus aus Chemnitz?

A comic project about the question of going or staying

A person runs on a white surface, casting a shadow against a backdrop of red and white buildings. The buildings have a grid-like window pattern, and the sky is a vivid red, enhancing the contrasting colors.

In Chemnitz many face the issue of how to deal with a political situation perceived as increasingly polarized. Raus aus Chemnitz? (Leave Chemnitz?) is a comics project that looks into why people have been leaving the region. Illustrator and author Stephanie Brittnacher gives room to individual voices, allowing each to convey its experiences, memories, and new perspectives in the form of a comic. The comics created will be presented in an exhibition as well as on the project website.
