The Cars We Like. Chemnitz 25

A humorous exploration of the future of the car

Photo: FUTURAMA°LAB

The FUTURAMA°LAB moves between art and science, between technology and philosophy. The aim is to promote, develop and communicate artistic creation with a focus on sustainability and ecological change in society. It creates alternative versions of technological progress in which they creatively engage with the circular economy, environmental change and social justice. With humorous workshops and interventions, the FUTURAMA°LAB aims to initiate a rethink so that daily movement in our environment is fun and healthy again. In Chemnitz, mobile sculptures with a do-it-yourself aesthetic will be created live in front of the audience.

From 28 June to 5 July 2025, artist Rainer Prohaska (founder of FUTURAMA°LAB) and artist and philosopher Kilian Jörg built sculptures in the form of sustainable fantasy cars in the #3000Garagen exhibition together with local supporters and actors.

The project is being realisedwith the support of the Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin.
