On September 27, 1825 the first train ran on European soil. The Central Saxony Transportation Authority (VMS), partners, and asso- ciates are celebrating the 200-year anniversary of this important milestone in the history of transport. Visitors can take a special trip to the early days of rail transport in Saxony for a unique experience of the modern railway. Special trains and busses go throughout the transport district from one venue to the next.
