Call for applications: International youth exchange in Chemnitz

Chemnitz 2025 is looking for 6 young people from Chemnitz for the international youth exchange "C the Unseen"! From 23 to 29 April 2025, you will be working in Chemnitz with young people from Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Romania and Serbia to make cultural projects more exciting for young people. You don't need any previous experience - curiosity is enough! Workshops, project work and cultural exchange are on the programme. You will present your results at the CREATE.U youth festival in October.
You will work together with young people from the Capital of Culture regions and can contribute your ideas directly to the planning of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.

What you can expect:

  • 23. until 29 April in Chemnitz
  • Joint development of a method to get more young people interested in cultural projects
  • Workshops, project work, creative brainstorming and intercultural exchange
  • Topics such as project management, public relations, digital tools and more
  • International group: 36 participants + 6 group leaders from 6 countries
  • Evening programmes: Cultural encounters - each evening is organised by a country group

Who can apply?

  • Age: Young people between 17 and 30 years old
  • Residence in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region
  • Knowledge of English is required, as the meeting will be held in English.
  • Whether you already have experience in cultural projects or are simply curious - everyone is welcome!
  • Young people who have previously had little access to cultural projects or experience social/geographical barriers are particularly welcome.
