As part of Chemnitz Capital of Culture 2025, the main project GELEBTE NACHBARSCHAFT is focussing on the topic of 'City and Forest' in preparation for the event. From Sunday, 3 November 2024 to Sunday, 10 November 2024, Chemnitz residents and residents from the Capital of Culture region will plant, care for and celebrate apple trees. The week-long planting festival begins with a musical, informative and mobile programme in the Hartmannfabrik. The programme includes walks through the Küchwald forest and to the Chemnitz Botanical Garden.
