Conversation: How do we want to live in the future?

What could our cities look like if we built, thought and lived in an intergenerational, intercultural and intergenerational way? What if the ideas and perspectives of groups such as children, older people and migrants, who are otherwise less likely to be listened to, were brought in?

Literary scholar Cecile Sandten, artist and theatre maker Darren O'Donnell and Sajad Habibi, member of the Chemnitz Migration Advisory Board, will try to find the answer to this question in The Art of Assembly on 29 November 2025 at 4 pm .

The Art of Assembly is a series of talks by author, dramaturge and curator Florian Malzacher. It deals with the potential of assemblies in activism, art and politics. In the context of The Questions , the focus is on intergenerational coming together.

The multi-part project The Questions by the Manchester-based artist collective Quarantine creates intergenerational encounters through exhibition, performance, dialogue and cultural exchange. The focus is on the collaboration between the twin cities of Manchester and Chemnitz.
