Envia Mitteldeutsche Energie AG (enviaM) is supporting the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 as the first Gold Sponsor. The enviaM Group has around 3,300 employees and supplies more than 1.3 million customers in eastern Germany with electricity, gas, heat and energy services. Under the motto "Full power for Chemnitz", the regional energy service provider is also involved in various projects as part of the Capital of Culture programme. These include the enviaM city competition, which involves cycling for charitable causes and will take place in Chemnitz for the first time.
As a project with great international appeal for the city and the Capital of Culture region, Chemnitz 2025 offers a unique opportunity to showcase its enormous potential. The support of partners from politics, business and civil society is an important prerequisite for the success of the Capital of Culture year. With their activities for 2025, countless local stakeholders are creating an attractive programme for the Capital of Culture year and at the same time setting the course for the future. It is precisely the involvement of companies with strong local roots in Chemnitz 2025 that enables long-term structures and thus a sustainable effect for the city and region to be created.
Andrea Pier, Commercial Director of Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH: "enviaM is making an enormous contribution to ensuring that Chemnitz 2025 is a sustainable success. We would like to expressly thank the company for its commitment and also see this support as a great appreciation of those who are shaping the programme for the Capital of Culture year. As the first Gold Sponsor, enviaM is leading the way and is an excellent example of the fact that Chemnitz 2025 is a major joint project. The greater the number of people who support this project, the stronger its appeal will be."
