haamit heimaten Festival has begun

On Wednesday, 17 September 2025, the haamit heimaten festival opened with the panel discussion "haamit - Heimat - heimaten": polyphonic perspectives on and from Eastern Germany. The central questions of the event were: What doeshomemean today - and who is allowed to belong? And how can East Germany finally be told in a more diverse way - beyond the image of an exclusively "white" East?the filmmaker Claudia Tuyết Scheffel and Lydia Lierke from the Offener Prozess - Documentation Centre on the NSU Complex spoke on the panel. The evening was moderated by author and publicist Max Czollek, who is also a co-initiator of the decentralisedheimaten festival.
