The Interministerial Working Group (IMAG) of the Saxon state government met in Chemnitz. The topic was the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 and the impetus for regional development resulting from the intensive cooperation between the city and the region was discussed.
Minister President Michael Kretschmer was present and pledged the full support of the state government: "The European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is such a major project that the entire state is involved. We have the chance to bring Europe together in Chemnitz. The way there is important now."
