The musician duo Stiehler/Lucaciu made a stop in Chemnitz on their motorhome tour. This time, the pair were able to play at a very special venue: the garage courtyard in Ahornstraße.

The concert was organised by the 3000Garagen team, one of the flagship projects of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH. Together with Chemnitz residents, the aim is to visualise the personal and collective stories surrounding the garages and the people who use them. Garage courtyards are not just parking spaces for cars, but also community centres, creative laboratories, open spaces, cultural assets and spaces for urban development. Why shouldn't they also be used as a stage?

That's why the first garage concert took place on 3 September 2023 on Chemnitz's Kaßberg. Around 200 visitors came along and listened to the music on a balmy summer night.

Sascha Stiehler on piano, synthesiser and drums and Antonio Lucaciu, saxophone and vocals, are currently touring the country with their album "Klappen und Tasten" - a boundless journey into the "I". Their musical style: a mixture of classical, jazz and pop.

"A story behind every song? Even more: behind every note an in-between time. And a universe in every pause. Because even in the silence, this album still resonates. And that's exactly what this world needs. Until someone saves it. In the meantime, we listen to really good music," is how singer Sarah Lesch describes the duo's sound.
