On the agenda for this regular exchange this time were marketing, communication, planned programmes in the region and the long-term impact, the so-called "legacy" of the title. The meeting took place in Hainichen. State Secretary Prof Thomas Popp, the Saxon state government's representative for the European Capital of Culture, also took part.

Chemnitz shares the title of European Capital of Culture with 38 municipalities from the Ore Mountains, Central Saxony and the Zwickau region.
