As part of the 48-hour cooking marathon (15.08-17.08.2025) at the Makerhub NETZ-Werk in Neukirchen, star chef Benjamin Unger will be conjuring up a 5-course menu on 16 August from 17:30 . Ore Mountain cuisine is on the menu at the "Haamit Dish". Traditional dishes from the region are given a new shine. Unger's restaurant St. Andreas in Aue Bad-Schlema was awarded a Michelin star in 2024. Presenter and singer Peter Percy will host the evening and zither soloist Thomas Baldauf will accompany the dinner with music.

The 48-hour cooking marathon combines flavour, community and creative cuisine over three days. The cookery marathon involves chopping, stirring, tasting and talking together. The former car dealership was transformed into a Makerhub as part of Chemnitz 2025. A culinary meeting place for the Ore Mountains and beyond is being created here.

Admission to the 48 cookery marathon is free of charge - except for the 5-course dinner "Ore Mountain Cuisine - Haamit Dish" on Saturday evening. Tickets are available here.
