On 17 February, we presented the wooden sculptures created by nine artists for the sculpture symposium in Buchholz's Waldschlösschenpark in September 2022 in the outdoor area of Chemnitz's St. Jakobi Church.

The PURPLE PATH thus extends into the public space in Chemnitz for a good three months and presents a stylistic and conceptual diversity of sculptural art in the future European Capital of Culture with the works created last autumn. The sculpture exhibition can be seen around St. Jakobikirche (Jakobikirchplatz 1, 09111 Chemnitz) until 29 May 2023.

The exhibition "DER ANNABERGER IMPULS kommt nach Chemnitz" is a co-production of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH and the Regionalmanagement Europäische Kulturregion Chemnitz.

Supported by the parish of St. Jakobikirche Chemnitz, the mountain town of Annaberg-Buchholz, the Friends of the European Cultural Region Chemnitz 2025 e.V. and the "So geht sächsisch" programme. The exhibition was curated in partnership by Jörg Seifert and Alexander Ochs.
