The European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is presenting itself to an international audience at the International Tourism Exchange (ITB), the world's leading trade fair for tourism. In the exhibition hall for cultural tourism, the CULTURE LOUNGE, we are represented at a joint stand with our European partner Capital of Culture Nova Gorica / Gorizia, and we have invited visitors to the presentation "Transcending borders, discovering the unseen - Spotlight on the European Capitals of Culture 2025".

The Chemnitz2025 theme will also be visible at the stand of the German National Tourist Board as part of Saxony's presentation. Representatives from the Chemnitz Zwickau Region Tourism Association, the Chemnitz Economic Development Corporation, the Erzgebirge Tourism Association and the Tourismus Marketing Gesellschaft Sachsen mbH will provide advice on tourism topics such as exploring the city and countryside as well as enjoying culture and nature.

There was also a joint evening reception organised by the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH, Tourismus Marketing Gesellschaft Sachsen mbH and the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism at the Representation of the Free State of Saxony in Berlin.

The guests from tourism, media and politics were given an up-to-date insight into the projects in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region, such as the main projects Makers, Business & Arts and the PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail, as well as the KOSMOS democracy festival and the exhibitions in the Chemnitz museums.

The ITB marks the launch of the international tourism marketing of the European Capital of Culture 2025 by Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH, the Free State of Saxony with Tourismus Marketing Gesellschaft Sachsen mbH, Tourismusverband Chemnitz Zwickau Region e.V. and the City of Chemnitz.
