Unmissable on the A4 motorway: Chemnitz will be European Capital of Culture next year! This is shown on a 40 x 24 metre poster at the logistics centre of the EDEKA Nordbayern-Sachsen-Thüringen Group in Berbersdorf.

The EDEKA Nordbayern-Sachsen-Thüringen Group is participating in Chemnitz 2025 as a Gold Sponsor. As the largest employer in the region with the administrative branch in Brückenstraße in Chemnitz, the logistics centre in Berbersdorf/Striegistal and the numerous privately run EDEKA stores, the company is providing extensive financial support for the European Capital of Culture year.

The European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is funded by the federal government, the Free State of Saxony and the city. The overall budget also includes a share of own funds from sponsoring and public third-party funding. This will support the projects realised by Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH as well as many local stakeholders during the European Capital of Culture year.

The support of partners from the business world enables the projects to be equipped in such a way that they can develop great appeal and be recognised internationally. With the motto "C The Unseen", Chemnitz 2025 invites you to discover the city and region and be surprised by the diversity of activities, the people and the potential.
