The Chemnitz Puppet Theatre takes its audience on a journey into the stories of seemingly ordinary objects found in garages. With a Garagenhof as the stage, tools, building materials, figures, and other resources evoke the hidden passions and intertwined lives of their owners, portray forgotten communities, and recount lived ruptures. With the objects and the audience, the performers embark on a search for spaces for the future and ask about what is missing.

In August and September 2025, a Wunderbox garage turns into a protagonist and venue in one, takes a closer look at its owners’ memories, retraces communities, and recounts lived ruptures.

When: 23 August to 14 September 2025 / five performances

Where? a garage yard, Chemnitz, to be announced
