Chemnitz composers in concert
Joint concert by a sighted chamber orchestra and a visually impaired choir

Three songs from the film »The Chorus« will be performed by the choir of the State School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Collegium Instrumentale chamber orchestra, which has been dedicated to regional church music since it was founded in 1956. Georg Christoph Sandmann, professor for Orchestra Conducting at the Dresden College of Music Carl Maria von Weber, will be conducting the performance. The orchestra will also perform works by Chemnitz composers such as Christian Gottlob Neefe, who taught Ludwig van Beethoven, and the promising contemporary composer Thomas Stöß.
