Below we inform you how we process your data and what rights you are entitled to under the data protection regulations.

3.Purposes of the processing of personal data and legal basis

We process the following data in particular in order to carry out your application process

  • Master data, e.g. title, first name, surname

  • additional master data, e.g. marital status

  • Contact data, e.g. e-mail address, address, telephone number, fax number

  • Qualification data

  • Other information that is required for your application process or that you provide voluntarily.

We process your personal data for the following purposes in particular:

  • to identify you as an applicant

  • for correspondence with you

  • for internal forwarding of your application

  • for selection following a comparison of skills

  • for the evaluation of job interviews

  • for statistical surveys

  • for cost recording, controlling and reporting

  • for the assertion of legal claims and defence in legal disputes

  • for compliance with legal requirements

the processing of your personal data takes place on the basis of

  • article 6(1)(b) GDPR, for the fulfilment of a contract or implementation of pre-contractual measures with you

  • article 6(1)(c) GDPR, for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject

  • article 6(1)(f) GDPR, for the purposes of our legitimate interests.

  • Our legitimate interest lies in the proper execution of your application process and in the selection of suitable applicants for the vacant positions.

your personal data may also be processed on the basis of your consent within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (storage period beyond 6 months, inclusion in talent pool).

4. Recipients of personal data

We may transfer your personal data to

  • internal departments

  • Legal advisors if this is necessary for compliance with applicable law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims

  • external service providers in their capacity as processors (e.g. data destruction) in order to process data with their products and services

  • external service providers in their capacity as function providers who process data for us as function providers (e.g. courier services).

5.Storage duration of your personal data

If the processing of your personal data is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of contractual or legal obligations, the personal data will be deleted (after 6 months), unless you have consented to a longer storage of your data or their (temporary) further processing is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes listed under 3. for a predominantly legitimate interest.

If you have consented to your data being stored for a longer period, we will process your data on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

6.Your rights

In accordance with Art. 15 ff. GDPR, you have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection to the processing of your personal data as well as the right to data portability.

If personal data is processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR, you can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to that point on the basis of the consent, but does mean that we may no longer continue the data processing in the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.

To exercise your rights, please contact the controller named under 1 or the data protection officer named under 2, if possible in writing.

7.Possible source of your personal data

We may receive your personal data from the Federal Employment Agency or, if applicable, from personnel and recruitment agencies.

8.Obligation to provide personal data

In order to carry out your application process, you must provide the personal data that is required for this purpose and for the fulfilment of the associated obligations. Without this data, we will generally have to reject or terminate the application process with you or no longer carry it out.

9.Automated decision-making

Automated decision-making does not take place.
