Equal participation for Chemnitz 2025

Social equality and recognition of human diversity are basic requirements in the work of Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH. The aim is to enable equal participation in the Capital of Culture programme. After all, modern cultural management means creating equal access and promoting diversity in art and culture.

Diversity and openness

Chemnitz 2025 is committed to diversity and openness. For a colourful, friendly and tolerant coexistence. We have also anchored these values in our mission statement. They shape our internal collaboration and cooperation with our project partners.

Accessibility

A guideline has been developed in workshops to support interested parties and project partners in realising inclusive events. With just a little effort and communication, important steps can be taken to enable all people to participate in events and cultural life in the Capital of Culture year and beyond. The checklist has been developed with people with disabilities and the professional assistance and support of employees of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) and the Service Centre for Inclusion and Culture in Dresden.
