A flurry of flashbulbs at the Opernhaus Chemnitz. On Europe Day, the city plays host to a glittering gala for the European Culture Awards. The prize honours artists and personalities notably committed to cultural exchange in Europe and promiting young talent. In organising this event, the European Cultural Forum aims to strengthen the friendship between European countries, promote the arts in Europe, shape a modern concept of culture, and bring together a wide variety of genres. Guests can expect a world-class musical programme ranging from pop to classical.
