Ein paar Leute suchen das Glück und lachen sich tot (A FEW PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS AND ARE LAUGHING THEIR HEADS OFF)  by Sibylle Berg is a novel, adapted for the stage by Stephan Bruckmeier, which uses humour and sharp social criticism to expose the absurdities of the modern world. Our version is about six people who are in search of their own happiness, but fail again and again.

The characters in the play speak their honest, often unpleasant thoughts - without filters and without fear of the consequences. Honesty and the confrontation with one's own abysses seem particularly important. Right now.

The play was developed jointly by the 2nd year drama students at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, under the direction of Anne Grabowski. With a mixture of humour and tragedy, the play challenges the audience to reflect on their own pursuit of happiness in an often superficial world.
