Art and music: opening of the artworks on the Purple Path

The ceremonial inaugurations of the works of art in Burgstädt, Wechselburg and Mittweida will be accompanied by music from the choirs of the partner municipalities.
Burgstädt welcomes Via Lewandowsky's Wetterleuchten on Friday with a concert by the Taurasteinchor Burgstädt and the group vielStimmig, a mixed choir from Mittweida.
On Saturday, Wechselburg inaugurates the artwork Good Luck by Kris Martin with a concert by the Paul Fleming Choir Wechselburg and the Taurastein Choir Burgstädt.
On Sunday, Mittweida Cumulus by Jeffrey James opens with the group vielStimmig from Mittweida and the Paul Fleming Choir Wechselburg.
All events will be accompanied by a varied supporting programme.

The PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail presents permanent contemporary sculptures in public spaces and tells stories from Chemnitz and 38 communities in the region. Works by more than 60 artists are on display.
