On display are sculptures made from Rochlitz porphyry by six artists from the region, created for the 2024 Stone Sculptors' Symposium, focussing on Georgius Agricola and the connection between his birthplace of Glauchau and his long-standing place of work in Chemnitz. On display in the castle courtyard until the end of 2025.
The PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail presents permanent contemporary sculptures in public spaces and tells stories from Chemnitz and 38 municipalities in the region. Works by more than 60 artists are on display.
