The concertina is the predecessor of the popular tango instrument bandoneon and was invented in Chemnitz.

But who built the first concertinas, where was the instrument first offered for sale and why is it almost forgotten today?

The city tour with tour guide Edeltraud Höfer explores these questions. The tour is accompanied by the Chemnitz concertina player Karlheinz Arnold. Linda Körner, a maker of hand-held concertina instruments, presents and explains the concertina.
