On 24 June, the new documentary "Go Clara Go: The Art of Creative Resistance" celebrates its official German premiere at the Metropol cinema in Chemnitz. The film reveals an exceptional chapter in East German art history: A good 50 years ago, the artist group Clara Mosch declared the then socialist showcase city of Chemnitz/Karl-Marx-Stadt an avant-garde happening zone - and from then on proved that art could be free in the GDR. The director Sylvie Kürsten and some of the protagonists from back then will be present at the cinema to introduce the film in person.
