Community festival and parade

As part of the "Hang zur Kultur" festival, Lessingplatz will be transformed into a community festival for a day and invites everyone to celebrate the diversity of Sonnenberg. The week before, there will be creative workshops to help organise the event.

August 09th - 13th,  2025 : COMMUNITY FESTIVAL, CREATIVE WORKSHOPS : inpeos e.V., Müllerstraße 15

Everything you need for a spectacular parade can be made at the "Making it Together" workshops. In these workshops, music is made, costumes are crafted from cardboard and giant sculptures (flowers, birds and suns) are made from willow rods and tissue paper. All workshops take place at inpeos e.V. Everything made can be taken home after the parade on August 16th!

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
