Marion Treupel-Franck (transverse flute) and Birgit Stolzenburg (salterio and double bass dulcimer) take their audience into the world of "Grounds", "Traditionals" and "Sweete Songs" with melodies by English, German, French and Italian composers in a Christmassy atmosphere. The programme includes works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Jacques Hotteterre le Romain, John Playford, Johann Hieronymus Kapsberger and Andrea Falconieri. Marion Treupel-Franck and Birgit Stolzenburg have been performing together for twenty years. Both are professors at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich and internationally sought-after soloists and chamber music partners. An event organised by the Robert Schumann Society Zwickau.
