Düsseldorf-based artist Corina Gertz photographs women in unusual costumes and costumes from behind. She has travelled to many countries, including Europe, East and Southeast Asia and Africa. She recently travelled to Cuba for several weeks. With her back portraits, she creates images of great beauty and visible cultural difference. in 2023, she travelled to the Ore Mountains and, for the first time, captured men in front of her lens, representatives of various mountain brotherhoods in richly decorated, traditional garb. Gertz's view of the colourfulness of the world, of people's work and celebrations becomes a lasting experience in a very special European region.
