This 2-hour workshop starts with a brief introduction to different forms of anxiety. Three basic ways of dealing with anxiety are addressed: Calming, distraction and creative expression. Afterwards, all participants are invited to experiment with colours and give creative expression to their fears. At the end, participants are welcome to reflect on the pictures they have created. No previous knowledge or special talent is required.

Edvard Munch

The exhibition at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz focuses on the theme of fear, based on the works of the most important pioneer of modern painting in Europe. Munch's works on this existential theme are linked to contemporary positions dealing with loneliness, illness and loss. The exhibition is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
