On the occasion of the Männelmarkt weekend, visitors can enjoy creative hands-on activities for the whole family in the creative workshop in the Lehngericht.
In the "HuiHuiMaschinen" workshop with Nick, participants will rediscover the principle of the classic Hui machine and build their own small kinetic works of art that whirr, hum or dance.
In the digital workshop, under Paula's guidance, they also create customised wooden Christmas tags with their own individual motifs - created using a laser cutter.
In the "Make your own textile gift ribbon" workshop, Ina and Anne will show you how to use simple fabric scraps, yarns and creative techniques to create customised ribbons that add a personal touch to any gift.
Christmas bunnies will also come to life in the digital workshop and personalised Christmas cards can be printed and designed at the stamping station.
The communal kitchen offers mulled Aperol and a wild cocoa experiment kitchen. The tasty vegetarian Lehngericht pizza provides culinary refreshment.
The Lehngericht passageway will be festively decorated with stalls selling handmade products by regional creatives - ideal for finding personalised gifts for loved ones.
And as a special cultural highlight, a shadow play by Frederic Heisig will take place on Saturday at 5 pm: He spent two weeks in Augustusburg in November and his play will present his exploration of the town and his thoughts on East Germany, which he combines with the stories of Franz Kafka. You are invited on a tour of the labyrinthine Lehngericht, which ends with a final performance in the Festsaal.
With a varied programme full of creative and artistic highlights, the Maker Advent in the Lehngericht is an ideal opportunity to experience the wide range of activities on offer at the Lehngericht.
