How far would you go to realise your goals? This is the question engineer Lette has to ask himself. His invention, the new 2CK plug, is to be presented at a congress. But Lette is not supposed to be there. His boss has decided so. Not out of malice; he has done it for the good of the company - because Lette is simply too ugly. But this is the first time he has heard this. Even his wife now has to admit that her relationship with her husband is more of an acoustic one. Driven by the desire to make himself and his wife happy, Lette decides to undergo cosmetic surgery. The operation is a success: there is nothing left of his old face. His new look gives his life a new lease of life. Lette is allowed to show off his invention and his wife looks him in the eye again. He becomes a star - more and more people want to look like him, undergo the operation and Lette becomes a trend in which he increasingly dissolves and loses himself.

This acerbic comedy satirises society's search for perfection and, in Ole Heimerdinger's production, ends on the same operating table where it all began.
