The Trickster is a character from old folk tales and creation stories from around the world who uses intelligence and magic to play tricks and subvert expectations. Tricksters often transform themselves and take on the form of animals to cause mischief and change the course of history.

As part of the artist residency Dialogue Fields, Denise Lee invites you to make your own trickster mask. The workshop is suitable for all ages and offers different levels of difficulty depending on your level of expertise. The possibilities range from decorating the masks with paint, pens and gemstones to moulding your own figures out of foam clay.

Duration: The workshop lasts a maximum of 3 hours per session, but it's up to you how long you want to work on your mask. You could leave the mask to dry and pick it up another day or come back the next weekend to continue working on it!

Dates:

Saturday, 9.8. 14:00
Saturday, 16.8. 16:00

Languages: English and German

After the workshops there is the possibility to wear the masks together during the Trickster's Parade on Saturday, 23 August., at 12:00 to conclude the curatorial tour(11 am, meeting point Lokomov) to the dialogue fields.
