The Easter fountain festival with the ceremonial opening of the Purple Path. The town fountain is artistically decorated with colourful eggs and flowers. Numerous stalls with regional delicacies and a varied entertainment programme await visitors. Activities for children include an egg race and a visit from the Easter bunny.

The PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail presents permanent contemporary sculptures in public spaces and tells stories from Chemnitz and 38 communities in the region. Works by more than 60 artists are on display.
