"Europe Rings For Peace" renews the ringing of the peace bells. Europe Day puts the European peace project centre stage.

Under the motto "Every bell counts", bells are ringing throughout Europe as a sign of peace and understanding. Starting from the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, numerous cities are taking part, including the twin cities of Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and Gorizia (Italy).

Whether church bells, town hall bells or ship bells - every bell counts. In Chemnitz, the peace bell ringing is part of the European Week of the Capital of Culture programme.

A common signal for peace - audible and unifying.

In Chemnitz, a special focus will be set by integrating the peace bell ringing into the European Week of the Capital of Culture programme on Friday 9 May 2025 at 6 pm.
