An impressive experience of Ore Mountain tradition: more than 400 traditional costume wearers parade through the centre of Zwönitz in a festive atmosphere, culminating in a festive concert on the market square.
When darkness falls, Zwönitz town centre shines in the splendour of the evening mountain parade. Over 400 people in traditional costumes make the living customs of the Ore Mountains visible and tangible. Accompanied by music, lights and a festive atmosphere, the procession ends with a festive concert on the market square, which marks the start of the Advent season.
The mountain procession is part of a centuries-old tradition that tells of community, solidarity and the joy of togetherness, values that can also be experienced anew in the Capital of Culture year 2025.
