Exhibition: Donata Wenders - "Ode to the craft"

The audiovisual exhibition "Ode an das Handwerk" by Donata Wenders can be experienced in the NEUSCHNEE creative space in Schneeberg until the end of May 2026.

At the centre of the show is a series of short films that showcase traditional crafts in Saxony. Between 2019 and 2024, the artist travelled through Saxony and portrayed traditional trades and their producers. She created film portraits of various trades, some of which are in danger of disappearing, such as blueprinting, artificial flower production, papermaking and bandoneon making. As a rule, the focus is not on the individual, but on their craftsmanship.
