Duration of the exhibition: September 19th - December 31st

All interested parties are invited to the opening of Felix Bielmeier's photo exhibition ‘Figuren der Zuwendung’ (Figures of Care) in the foyer of the Gottfried O. Neumann House. More than 30 photographic works will be on display, which were created over a period of six months at the invitation of Chemnitz Hospital as part of the Capital of Culture year.

Imaging techniques and their equipment are available to medical staff as aids to diagnosis. The sense of sight and its physical extension, photography, promise a high degree of rationality. The focus is on medical work and patient care, as well as a reflection on aesthetic boundaries and the ambivalent possibilities of the photographic image between information and social practice.
