In the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region from 19-26 October 2025: get to work, grab a spade and plant the future, don't forget to look after and celebrate.

Behind the Lichtenwalde fire station, the youth fire brigade gets to work and plants apple trees in the orchard. Digging holes, planting trees, watering, celebrating. Barbecues and drinks are on offer. Planting is even more fun!
