In the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region from 19-26 October 2025: get to work, grab a spade and plant the future, don't forget to look after and celebrate.

In Thalheim, apple enthusiasts have been looking after the beautiful orchard for a long time. Today, new neighbours are joining them: four apple trees of rare varieties ensure a diverse harvest in good time.
