There is already an idyllic meadow orchard at Schusterteich, which continues to grow year after year: every year, the apple tree of the year is planted, among other things. 15 apple trees of old, rare varieties are planted and expand the variety of apples in Oederan. Helping hands are very welcome.
At the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region from 19 to 26 October 2025.
