From 29 May to 31 May 2026, the 9th HUTFESTIVAL - the festival of street art - will transform the alleyways and squares in Chemnitz city centre into a large open-air stage full of live music, clowning, artistry, juggling, fire shows, walking acts, art and street food. With diverse street artists and acts from many European nations, including local artists, the festival promises a spectacle full of surprises, amazement and magic. At every corner you will discover funny, entertaining, touching, artistic and culinary delights.

The HAT FESTIVAL - the festival of street performance - transforms the alleyways and squares in Chemnitz city centre into a large open-air stage full of live music, clowning, artistry, juggling, fire shows, walking acts, art and street food. With versatile street artists and acts from many nations, the festival promises a spectacle full of surprises, amazement and magic. The HAT FESTIVAL is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
