Individual-Final - International German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships 2025 (SLAM25)

The International German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships 2025 (SLAM25) will take place in Chemnitz from 29 October to 1 November 2025 as part of the European Capital of Culture year. The individual final is the grand finale of the festival.

The festival extends over 5 days, 16 events and will attract around 300 creative guests to Chemnitz. Poets from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Italy (South Tyrol) will present their best texts on Chemnitz stages. This makes SLAM25 the largest festival for stage literature in Europe.

The final in the singles is the freestyle of the festival. Here, after four nerve-wracking days, the best of the best compete to take home the most important title in the scene. The winners have included names such as André Herrmann, Julius Fischer, Marc-Uwe Kling, Sebastian 23, Patrick Salmen, Moritz Neumeier, Pierre Jarawan, Jan Philipp Zymny and Jean-Phillipe Kindler. So you can expect not only a great show, but perhaps also the start of a unique career.
