The Institute for Unsichtbarkeit  (IFU) is a performance in public space developed by Kollektiv Kubik and conducts field research by entering into dialogue with local people. With the research question: "What is invisible, but you wish people could see it?" , the IFU enters into direct contact with citizens of a specific region or city through performance and installation. On 15 May 2025, the IFU will be out and about in Chemnitz, collecting, archiving and sharing the invisible and the visible.

The participants' answers will provide profound and touching insights into their regional stories, needs and ideas - the intangible and often unseen will become more visible. The institute becomes a playful place for encounters and exchange between people.
