Experience an absolute highlight at the Buntspeicher this summer! During the SpeicherLights event, the striking façade is transformed into a huge, vibrant canvas. The centrepiece of the evening is an innovative, interactive light installation by artists Juliana and Andrey Vrady. Software-based technology captures visitors’ facial expressions and transforms their emotions in real time into a fascinating work of art made up of colours and lights, which is projected directly onto the large-scale exterior wall. In this way, the guests themselves become part of the art.

Alongside this visual spectacle, visitors can look forward to a perfect summer evening under the open sky with delicious food, cool drinks and a cosy get-together in a great atmosphere.

Makerhubs

Nine Makerhubs in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region will become places where people can learn from each other and create something new together. They are also places where designers, craftspeople, entrepreneurs, the next generation of skilled workers and makers from all over the world come together. Visitors and creative tourists can experience regional culture and traditions at workshops. The Makerhubs are part of the Makers, Business & Arts programme. This main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is all about promoting creative tourism offerings and cross-sector collaboration between industry and creative professionals. The project is being implemented by the Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH in cooperation with the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e. V.
