A colourful book box festival for all generations – reading brings people together.

The local book box is at the heart of a special event aimed equally at parents, children and senior citizens. The festival offers the neighbourhood an ideal opportunity to come together in a cosy atmosphere, swap old reading material for new treasures and share a passion for books.

• Swap and browse: A large table of books invites you to linger and discover. Books you bring along can be swapped for new reading material right there in the book box.
• Creative workshop: At a craft station, participants can create personalised bookmarks made of resin, which can be customised to their liking. These gleaming, one-of-a-kind pieces are a special highlight for craft enthusiasts of all ages and make a lovely keepsake.
• Storytelling session for young and old: Exciting, funny and touching stories take centre stage during a cosy storytelling session. Here, young and old alike can listen together and immerse themselves in other worlds.
• Big reading competition: Keen readers can put their talent to the test. The focus here is on good intonation and a lively voice – small prizes await the winners.
• Comfort and protection from the weather:
  To ensure the festival is a complete success whatever the weather, a marquee will be erected to provide shelter from the sun or rain showers. Plenty of cosy seating invites you to linger, read and enjoy stimulating conversations with neighbours.
