Microproject | CONNECTING PEOPLE – Meet-up at the Lohse-Uhlig-Steig

Now in its fifth year, the Lohse-Uhlig-Steig walk aims not only to feature music but also to provide a platform for other cultural figures from our community and to give our local organisations the opportunity to showcase themselves. We want to introduce people to new things, spark their interest and foster networking.

The Chemnitz 2025 European Capital of Culture year may be over, but our Lohse-Uhlig-Steig lives on! Last year, we were able to officially open all the stops planned as part of the intervention project and showcase them to the people of Chemnitz, friends and visitors alike with our fourth walk along the Lohse-Uhlig-Steig.

With our fifth tour, we’re continuing this tradition and once again inviting you to explore the walking trail together and enjoy a lovely day with some small cultural contributions. We also want to give our local clubs the chance to introduce themselves and recruit new members. Whether it’s the fire brigade, craft groups or sports clubs, it really doesn’t matter where you’re from or how old you are – as long as you’re keen to get involved.

We’d also like to include the Adelsberg Tower this year. It isn’t directly on the Lohse-Uhlig-Steig, but it’s part of Kleinolbersdorf. We want to show how much has already been achieved, as a real gem is currently being brought back to life here. With a great deal of dedication, a small but lovely playground has been created, which is particularly inviting for parents and grandparents to take the children on a journey of discovery. A great meeting place – in our view. This year, it’s not just about music; we also want to offer other artists the opportunity to showcase their work. It’s all about painting, listening, seeing and feeling! All the senses are to be engaged.

Our walk brings together local residents, friends, acquaintances and keen walkers to spend a relaxed afternoon and evening together, getting to know one another, chatting, whilst enjoying culture and discovering interesting activities. In 2026, we’ll once again be able to round off our tour at the Roscher-Gut. The evening will draw to a cosy close with music, a variety of activities and presentations, and, of course, delicious food and drink in beautiful surroundings.
