"Frauencafé" offers a weekly, open meeting place for women, whether or not they have a migrant background, in the Sonnenberg district of Chemnitz.

Every Thursday, the participants get together to chat in a relaxed atmosphere over coffee, tea and homemade cakes, to support one another and to collaboratively organise activities such as discussions, small creative projects or baking together. This creates a safe space for connection, participation and self-efficacy.

Microprojects

The micro-projects are intended to provide impetus for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has existed for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
