A conversation about East German identity and the post-Reunification generation with Malik Yannick (@malik.yannick), Lisa Kruppa (MA) & Michelle Tredup (k_Einheit):

On his Instagram account, Malik Yannick discusses what it’s like to grow up and study in East Germany as the child of a single working-class mother. Lisa Kruppa explored progressive East German identities in her Master’s thesis. Michelle Tredup is working to raise the profile of young East German perspectives through the ‘k_einheit’ initiative.

Together, we want to start a conversation about East German identity, growing up in post-reunification society and the different perspectives on these issues.

The evening will be moderated by Zeran Osman.

Doors open: 6.00 pm
