What do GDR preserving traditions, favourite international recipes and rescued food have in common? They all end up in the pot at our chopping party!

On 13 September, we’re inviting you to join us for some chopping, cooking, enjoying and meeting new people. We’ll be salvaging surplus produce – for example, from allotments in Chemnitz – and showing you all the delicious things you can make with it.

  • Sharing recipes
  • Cooking together & meeting new people
  • Feel free to bring along any surplus produce of your own!

The micro-projects are intended to provide impetus for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has existed for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
